Embrions-Hoof

1990
1990

These drawings continue in Red, black and gold. Both of them live with the monster, the vicinity to inexplicable facts and the obscene. However, there is a subtle difference between them. Embryos- Hoof reveals something whereas Red, black and gold hides something. In this series I needed to use the following method: the strokes of the last drawing are linked – with a transparency in between – to the next and so on and so forth. In the other series, I decided to make thick strokes with charcoal on what I had drawn before, thus partially hiding my work.

Embryos- Hoof had an expected end. I asked my friend Ruben Boggi, who is a poet, to write a poem below each of the drawings. He found the inspiration for twenty-three of them. I decided to give only a title to the rest of the drawings because I was unable to meet the challenge

FLY OFF MY SKIN. Ink and tempera on paper. 11x13 cm. 1990.
